SUPER BOWL CHILI | |
If your family likes spicy foods, they'll love this Super Bowl Chili. It is one of my husband's favorite meals. 1 lb. lean ground beef 1 lb. ground pork 2 (15 1/2 oz.) kidney beans 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up 2 lg. onions, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 1 to 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 to 3 tbsp. chili powder 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. to 1 tbsp. crushed red pepper 1 to 3 tbsp. wine vinegar 1/2 to 1 tsp. ground cumin (I use smaller amount for milder chili; larger amount for hot chili.) 1 c. cheese, shredded Dairy sour cream In 4 quart Dutch oven brown beef and pork. Drain off excess fat. Add undrained kidney beans, tomatoes, onions, peppers and spices. Simmer uncovered for 1 hour or longer. Stir frequently to avoid scorching. Ladle into bowls.
