FLUFFY WHITE ICING 
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. corn syrup
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

In a pan, heat together first 4 ingredients slowly to boiling. Cook until a small amount dripped from a spoon spins a long thread. In a bowl have ready the stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour syrup over while beating constantly. Beat until cool and thick enough to spread. Add vanilla and beat again. Enough for 1 cake.
