CREAM CHEESE PECAN TARTS 
TARTS CRUST:

1 c. flour
1 stick butter
1 (3 oz.) cream cheese

Mix butter and cream cheese, gradually add flour. Roll into balls and chill for 1 hour. Press into miniature cups.

FILLING:

1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix together egg, sugar and vanilla. Stir in pecans. Place in cream cheese tarts. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

I love these tarts! I don't like pecan pie because it is too much filling, but these are great just enough filling in the cream cheese shell! It's a big hit everytime I make them!

I just finished baking a batch of these. Instead of tarts, I made them in bar form. The pan I used was 9x13-inch. and the ratio of filling to crust was just right. Also, if your like me and like less sugar, you can lessen the sugar without compromising the flavor, texture, or taste. Excellent, easy recipe that I will be making for Thanksgiving.

I love the idea of the 13x9 pan. For years, my mom and us kids only made these at Christmas in the little tart pans and it seemed to take forever, though they were always a big hit, just too time consuming. Gonna try the 9x13 pan very soon. Thanks!

I made these for Thanksgiving. They were a big hit. I wish I would have thought ahead and had vanilla ice cream to serve with them. That would have made them perfect.
