MOCHA POUND CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. instant coffee
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. softened shortening
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 (1 oz.) sq. melted chocolate

Mix flour, sugar, coffee, salt, tartar and soda. Add shortening, water and vanilla; mix until dampened and then beat 2 minutes. Add eggs and chocolate. Beat 1 minute. Bake in 9 1/2 x 5 x 2 inch pan 65-70 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and remove. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
