ESTHER WILSON'S SWEDISH MEATBALLS | |
1 lb. ground beef 2 slices white bread (cubed) 1 egg 1 tsp. salt (level) 1/2 lb. ground pork Cream 1 med. onion (minced) 1/4 tsp. pepper Soak bread in cream and egg. Mix all ingredients together and roll into small balls. Brown in little butter in fry pan. Place in greased casserole dish and pour juice from browning over. Bake for 1/2 hour after juices begin to boil. I also know she would grate a small apple into this mixture. Gives a very good flavor. |
