RAISIN DOUGHNUT PUFFS 
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash nutmeg
Dash salt
1/2 c. raisins
Oil for deep frying
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
Powdered sugar (optional)

1. Beat egg. Gradually add sugar, beat until very light. Stir in sour cream. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Stir in raisins. Add egg mixture, stir until smooth.

2. Chill dough 1 hour or more.

3. Roll out on floured board 1/2 inch thick. Cut with round cutter 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Slash X on top with knife.

4. Fry in hot oil at 375 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden and cooked through the middle.

5. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Dust with mixture or powdered sugar.
