PRETZEL DESSERT | |
1/2 c. butter 1 1/2 c. pretzels, chopped 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Jello, cherry or strawberry 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries Melt butter over low heat. Crush enough pretzels to measure 1 1/2 cups. Mix melted butter, pretzels, and 1/2 cup sugar together. Press into a 9 x 13 inch pan to form a crust. Bake for 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool. Beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and Cool Whip together. Spread over the crust. Refrigerate. Dissolve Jello in 2 cups boiling water and add frozen strawberries. When cool, pour over cheese layer and refrigerator until ready to serve. Makes 12 servings. |
