APRICOT NUT BREAD 
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. dried apricots, chopped
1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. salad oil

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and soda. Mix in sugar, apricots, and nuts. Add orange peel, egg, milk, and salad oil; stir until blended. Pour into greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until bread tests done. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool on rack. Yield: One (8 inch) loaf.
