BEST SWEET ROLLS
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. scalded milk
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
7 to 8 1/2 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Beat together sugar, salt, eggs, and butter. Be sure milk is cooled to lukewarm. Add to sugar mixture. Slowly add 1-2 cups flour. Add dissolved yeast. Gradually add remaining flour. Let rise in a greased bowl for approximately 1 hour or until double. Shape as desired. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until brown. This is a moist, spongy dough and these rolls freeze quite well. Frost and add nuts, raisins, cinnamon, butter, and sugar as desired.

I've made these about 10 years. I double for big batches.
