FROSTY STRAWBERRY SQUARES 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. walnuts
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 egg whites
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, partially thawed & cut in pieces or 2 c. sliced fresh strawberries
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. whipping cream, whipped or 4 1/2 oz. carton frozen whipped dessert topping, thawed

In a bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar, walnuts and butter. Spread evenly in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from oven, cool. Sprinkle 2/3 of the baked mixture in bottom of same pan; reserve remaining mixture.

In large mixer bowl, combine egg whites, sugar, berries and lemon juice; beat at low speed of electric mixer until mixture begins to thicken, about 2 minutes. Then beat at high speed until stiff peaks form (tips stand straight about 10 to 12 minutes. Fold in whipped cream or whipped topping. Spoon over mixture in pan; top with reserved crumbs. Freeze 6 hours or overnight. Cut in squares. Trim with berries, if desired.
