2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2 inch or 2 (8 inch) round baking pans. Beat all ingredients on low speed 1 minute; then beat on high speed for 3 minutes. Oblong pan bake 40 to 50 minutes. Round pans bake 30 to 35 minutes.

ICING: Place chocolate chips on hot cake until soft then spread with spatula.
