STRAWBERRY SALAD 
1 pkg. Salada Danish dessert, strawberry
About 1 c. sliced fresh or whole frozen berries (opt.)
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries in syrup

Thaw and drain sliced, frozen berries, reserving juice. Combine juice with water to make 1 3/4 cups. Cook dessert as directed on box using the juice and water rather than 2 cups water. Stir drained strawberries and optional berries into dessert, pour into a bowl, refrigerate overnight. We use it as a meal accompaniment, could also be used as dessert. A very different taste than Jello.
