GARY'S FAVORITE GINGER SNAPS 
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 beaten egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt (opt.)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger

Cream shortening and sugar; add molasses and egg; beat well.

Mix dry ingredients into creamed mixture; mix well.

Roll in small balls; roll into sugar; place 1 dozen on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes (approximate), watch them.
