CHRISTMAS SQUARES 
2 sticks butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. red jam

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs; blend well. Add flour; mix. Fold in nuts. Grease 8 x 8 inch pan. Spoon in 1/2 batter. Spread jam batter in pan. Add rest of batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 1/2 hour (until brown). Cut in small squares. Makes 36.
