2 cups white sugar
1-1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups butter flavored crisco
4 eggs
4 tsp vanilla
4-1/3 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Beat sugars, Crisco, eggs and vanilla thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°FF to 375°FF about 12 minutes.
