GRANDMA'S MOLASSES BANANA BREAD 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 c. Grandma's molasses (gold label)
3 lg. bananas, mashed (about 2 c.)
1 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 tsp. finely grated orange rind
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter. Beat in egg, molasses and banana. Mix in remaining ingredients just until blended. Pour into greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes 1 loaf.
