SWEDISH SPONGE CAKE | |
4 lg. eggs (separate yolks and whites) 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. lemon juice Beat egg yolks and sugar well. Add sifted flour and baking powder and lemon juice. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter. Put in greased Bundt or tube pan. Preheat oven to 400 degrees - when cake is put in oven - turn oven temperature down to 350 degrees. Bake approximately 1 hour. |
