COLD CABBAGE SALAD 
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 med. head of cabbage
3-4 green onions
2 pkgs. Ramen noodles (discard the seasoning)
1/2 c. butter to saute the noodles

DRESSING:

1/2 c. salad oil
1/4 c. wine vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. soy sauce

Crush the Ramen noodles and saute until golden brown. Drain well and let cool. Brown the almonds under broiler (watch carefully). Shred the cabbage. Mix cabbage, almonds, onions and cooled noodles. Refrigerate 1 hour. Mix dressing ingredients and add just before serving. Serves 8 to 10.
