GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
6 or more lg. potatoes, cooked & sliced 1/3 lb. bacon, chopped 1/2 onion 3/4 c. celery Cook bacon until crisp. Remove and add onion and celery. Cook until clear. Add 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 cup water. Heat together until hot. Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch and small amount of cold water and add to brine. Stir to make a thin sauce. Add bacon, crumbled and brine to potatoes. Serve hot. |
