STAY SOFT OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES 
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
2 c. quick oats
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. water
1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Simmer raisins and water for 5 minutes.

Measure 5 tbsp. of raisin liquid and combine with baking soda. Drain rest of liquid off raisins. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Stir in oats, salt and raisins. Add vanilla. Stir in flour. Drop 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes. Don't overbake.
