SWEDISH APPLE PIE 
6-7 apples (Macintoshes or Cortlands)
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 c. walnuts

Line pie plate 2/3 full with sliced, pared apples. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon, mixed. Melt 3/4 c. butter; add sugar, flour egg, and walnuts. Pour over apples. Bake until golden brown in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Edges will brown first.
