GRANDMUZZIES DANDELION SALAD | |
1/4 lb. bacon 2 heaping tsp. flour 2 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. salt 2 1/4 tbsp. sugar 1/4 c. vinegar, scant 3 hard boiled eggs, chopped 2-3 handfulls fresh dandelion greens Fry bacon until crisp; remove from drippings. Stir flour and buttermilk into drippings to make a paste. Bring to a boil. Add salt, sugar, and vinegar. Mix until dissolve and cool. Add bacon bits, onion, eggs, to chilled washed dandelion greens. Mix greens and boiled mixture together and serve. |
