HAMBURGER VEGETABLE LENTIL SOUP 
1 lb. hamburger
5 3/4 c. tomato juice
1 c. lentils, washed
1 c. diced carrots
1 c. diced cabbage
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. green pepper
1 bay leaf

Brown hamburger until crumbly; set aside. Combine tomato juice and water; bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients; mix in hamburger. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
