GINGER COOKIES 
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. butter
Yolks of 3 eggs and whites of 1
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
Flour to make a soft dough

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. water.

Boil sugar and water until it threads from a spoon, then pour over the beaten egg whites until smooth.
