Braided Sweet Bread

 Mary Beth (Illinois) says:
The recipe is incomplete for novice bread makers. After the first rise, the dough is separated into 2 pieces. Each piece is divided into thirds. All pieces are rolled into a long "snake". Braid, and tuck ends under. Let rise AGAIN. (Until doubled in bulk) Brush with an egg yolk water mixture (1 yolk, 1-2 T water or milk) to give the loaves a shine. Sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired. Bake. Delicious, and pretty!
