EASY HOMEMADE BUTTERFINGER CANDY
This isn't crunchy like butterfingers, but the taste is very much like the real candy. The chocolate dipping is the most time consuming part, if you have kids I would suggest letting them help with this part.

1 (16 oz.) bag candy corn candy
16 oz. smooth peanut butter
chocolate candy coating (in Walmart baking section)

In microwave safe bowl melt candy corn, stirring every 15 seconds or so to make sure it doesn't burn.

When melted, stir in the peanut butter until well combined. Spoon into an 8x8-inch pan that has been layered with aluminum foil that hangs over the sides. Place in refrigerator until set. Remove from pan and cut into 1-inch pieces.

Melt a few blocks of candy coating in microwave then dip squares to completely cover. Set on wax paper or aluminum foil to set up.

Note: I used 8 out of 12 blocks of candy coating on the candy I made, be sure you have enough on hand.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
