STEVIE'S BRAN BREAD 
2 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar (white)
2 1/4 c. warm water
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. corn oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses
2 tbsp. brown sugar
8 tbsp. wheat germ
8 tbsp. powdered milk
2 c. Bran Flakes
1 c. oats
1 c. wheat flour
4-5 c. white flour

Dissolve yeast and 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar in 1 cup hot water; let rise 10 minutes. Add beaten egg, 1/2 cup shortening, 1 1/4 cups hot water, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup molasses, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, wheat germ, powdered milk, Bran Flakes, oats and wheat flour. Mix and beat 100 strokes. Add 4-5 white flour.

Turn out and let rise 10 minutes. Knead well. Let rise (covered) until doubled (1 1/2-2 hours). Punch down and divide in 3 pieces. Let rise 10 minutes. Shape and put in bread pans. Let rise 30-45 minutes. Put in cold oven and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 degrees and bake 25 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
