JACKIES SPICY CHILI FOR ELMER | |
2 lb. ground beef 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato wedge bits 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 2 (12 oz.) cans chili beans 1 med. green pepper, chopped 1 med. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. Tabasco 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Salt & pepper to taste Jalapeno peppers (optional) 1 bag tortilla chips Shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese Sour cream Brown ground beef and drain in large pan. Combine all ingredients and stir. Cover. Cook on low-medium heat, taste if too spicy. Add water and cook longer. Cook 1-1 1/2 hours before tasting and adding water. If not hot add more chili powder. This can be cooked in a crock pot for 12 hours. Serve with tortilla chips and cheese on top. |
