CRISPY ONION RINGS | |
1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. corn meal 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 c. milk 1 lb. large onions, sliced and separated into rings Sift flour, meal and baking powder. Add oil, eggs and milk. Mix thoroughly. Dip onion rings into batter. Fry in vegetable oil for 2 to 3 minutes each side, until golden brown. Drain on paper towel. |
