LEMON POUND CAKE 
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 1/4 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk

Sift flour and baking powder together into bowl and set aside.

Cream butter and shortening, add sugar a little at a time, beating well until light.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each, beat until light and fluffy. Add flavoring, beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and beat well.

Grease and flour pan.

Place in COLD OVEN. Turn on oven to 350 degrees or 325 and bake for 1 1/2 hours.

DO NOT OPEN OVEN FOR 1 1/2 HOURS.
