GREEN TOMATO MINCEMEAT 
6 c. chopped apples
6 c. chopped green tomatoes
4 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
3 c. chopped raisins
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
3/4 tsp. allspice
3/4 tsp. mace
3/4 tsp. salt

Put in a deep kettle. Bring slowly to a boiling point. Simmer for 2 hours. Add 3/4 cup butter. Stir. Put in hot jars and seal (or freeze) after it cools.
