BOILED CUSTARD 
3 or 4 egg yolks
1 qt. milk
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk heated, add eggs, and cook until spoon is coated, then cook for 8 to 10 minutes in double boiler. Add flavoring and strain while very hot.
