SIMPLE STOLLEN | |
2 pkgs. crescent rolls 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries 1/4 c. chopped almonds or pecans 1/2 c. raisins 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. rum flavoring (1 tsp. lemon juice may be added with flavoring) Open rolls and lay out in 13 x 13 inch square, seal edges and perforations. Whip softened cream cheese with sugar and flavoring. Stir in nuts, cherries and raisins. Spread a 5 inch strip of cream cheese mixture down center of roll dough. Lap sides over cream cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Pour glaze over top. GLAZE: 1 c. powdered sugar 1 to 2 tbsp. milk Drop of vanilla Mix all ingredients. Pour over stollen. |
