GRANDMA'S BAKED APPLES 
4 baking apples (Jonathans work best)

Core the apples and wash too. You need a mixing bowl. Mix: 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed 1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Place apples in a 9x13 inch pan. Fill centers of apples with water and sugar mixture. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples have split skins. Spoon sugar water over apples occasionally. This glaze keeps the apples from drying out.

When apples are done, sprinkle cinnamon over the tops of the apples. Serve warm or chilled. Best when served warm. Serves 4 people.
