TURTLE BROWNIES 
Last Cursillo team we made these for our dessert, it looks hard but it was very easy to make.

Melt together:

1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk

1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. soft butter
1 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts) chopped

Mix cake mix, milk and soft butter until crumbly, add nuts. Put 1/2 of cake mix into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour caramel sauce over above layer and sprinkle rest of cake mix on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for another 12 to 20 minutes. Don't overbake - cool and cut into squares.
