TACO SALAD | |
1 lb. ground beef or turkey, cooked and drained 1 packet taco seasoning 2 oz. orange Cheddar cheese, shredded 2 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded 2 chopped tomatoes 1/4 head lettuce, chopped or bite size pieces 1/4 bag Garndaddy's unsalted nacho chips, broken, if desired 1 jar Mild El Paso Thick 'N Chunky sauce Chop all ingredients before you start so you can layer the bowl as you go along. Mix cooked beef or turkey with taco seasoning; set aside. While meat is cooking a little, place 1/2 lettuce, then 1 tomato, then meat, cheeses, 3-4 tablespoons salsa. You can add chips at this time; but because they get mushy I just stick them in up top. You can again layer the remaining ingredients you have left. This is the way we like it. You can vary your own recipe. |
