GARLIC BREAD
1 loaf French bread, about 14" long
8 tbsp. (1 stick) butter (unsalted)
2 cloves garlic, mashed to a pulp
1/4 c. finely chopped fresh dill (use less if dry)
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice bread lengthwise. Melt butter in small skillet; add garlic and beat gently for 2 minutes. Brush the melted butter generously on the cut sides of the bread halves. Sprinkle with dill and cheese.

Bake until golden brown and very hot, 5-8 minutes. Serve immediately with appetizers, soup or sauce.
