POTATO SOUP 
2 slices bacon
1 c. raw potatoes, sliced
1 (1 3/8 oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix
1/2 c. cooked peas
3 1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. tomato juice

In a 3 quart saucepan, fry bacon over medium-low heat. Remove bacon, drain on paper towels and crumble. Brown potatoes in bacon drippings over medium-low heat.

Add soup mix, water and tomato juice. Stir and bring to boil over medium heat. Cover; reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.

Add peas. Heat until hot. Garnish each serving with crumbled bacon. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
