BLUE CHEESE CRISPS, DANNE'S 
8 oz. Maytag Blue Cheese, room temperature
4 oz. unsalted butter, room temperature
1 egg
1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1 3/4 c. all purpose flour

Cream together Maytag Blue Cheese and butter, and add the remaining ingredients in the order given. Shape into two rolls 1 1/2 inches in diameter, wrap in waxed paper and chill 4 hours or overnight. Slice dough into 1/4 inch rounds and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 425 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Recipe makes about 4 dozen. Serve with soup, salad, or as an hors d'oeuvre.
