MOZZARELLA STUFFED MUSHROOMS | |
1 lb. fresh mushrooms 1/3 c. melted butter, divided 1/3 c. chopped onion 1/3 c. chopped pepperoni 1/3 c. shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1/3 c. seasoned bread crumbs Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth, remove stems, leaving caps intact. Chop stems. Brush caps with melted butter, set aside. Saute onion and mushroom stems in remaining butter; add pepperoni, mozzarella, seasonings, and bread crumbs. Mix well. Spoon into mushroom caps. Place in buttered baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Serves 6 to 8. |
