VINEGAR PIE CRUST 
4 c. flour
1 3/4 c. shortening
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vinegar
1 egg
1/2 c. ice water

Mix first 4 ingredients. In separate bowl, beat remaining ingredients. Combine 2 mixtures with pastry cutter until moist. With hands, mold dough in one big ball. Chill 15 minutes or more before rolling. Makes 5 single crusts. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes and at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
