ESTHER'S EARLY COLONIAL BREAD 
1/2 c. yellow corn meal
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 c. boiling water

Combine above ingredients and cool to lukewarm. 2 pkgs. yeast

Let stand a little while and stir into corn meal mixture. Add: 1/2 c. rye flour 4 1/2 c. all-purpose white flour

Knead, let rise until doubled in bulk, punch down again, let rise and make into 2 loaves. Bake like any bread.
