1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 to 1 c. nuts, chopped

Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla and dry ingredients. Work in nuts, then shape into balls. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased sheet until light brown. While still warm roll in confectioners sugar.
