GRANDMA'S POTATO SOUP 
10 russet potatoes, peeled & cubed
1 onion, chopped
4 c. milk (approx.)
butter
1 can corn (optional)
Salt & pepper

Cook potatoes in a pot of water until soft. Drain water, leaving about 3 to 4 cups. Add an equal amount of milk and if desired, can of corn. Heat through, stirring and smashing enough potatoes to thicken. Add butter, salt and pepper to taste. A great warmer-upper for a cold day!
