FRESH PEAR CAKE 
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. thinly sliced pears, cored & peeled or 5 med. apples

Combine sugar, eggs and oil. Beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon and pears. Turn into well greased 10" bundt or tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from pan and allow to cool. Pour Confectioners' Sugar Glaze over cake (see below).

SUGAR GLAZE:

1 1/4 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 - 1 1/2 tbsp. milk

Combine ingredients, blending until smooth.
