DATE NUT LOAF 
2 lb. dates, cut
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 qt. shelled pecans

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder over nuts and dates. Mix well. Beat eggs and pour over and mix. Press firmly into loaf pan. Bake slowly, 300-325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
