LEMON MERINGUE PIE 
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
6 tbsp. flour
3 eggs, separated
3 lemons
1 tbsp. butter

Mix sugar and flour in medium pot. Stir in water and cook in double boiler until clear. Grate rind from lemons and squeeze juice out. Add rind and lemon juice to cooked mixture. Add egg yolks mixed with a little cooked mixture. Add butter. Cook 2 minutes longer. Pour in baked pie shell. Cover with meringue.

Meringue:

3 egg whites (from pie)
6 tbsp. sugar

Beat egg whites from pie. Add sugar; beat until stiff. Spread on top of pie. Brown in 325°F oven. Cool.
