FRUIT COCKTAIL DESSERT 
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
Pinch of salt
1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail
Chopped nuts
Sugar

Mix first 5 ingredients together thoroughly. Stir in fruit cocktail and juice. Spread batter in greased and floured 9x9 baking pan. Sprinkle top of batter with nuts and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until dessert tests done. When cooled, top with dab of whipped cream. Serves 8.
