JAPANESE FRUIT CAKE 
4 eggs
1 teacup sweet milk
1 teacup butter
12 teacups sugar
3 heaping teacups cake flour
1 heaping tsp. baking powder

Cream butter/oleo with sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time. Add sweet milk, sift flour with baking powder, add to other mixture, this makes 3 layers, bake 2 layers plain, add to the remaining dough, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup chopped nuts, 1/4 tsp. cloves, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. Also 2 tbsp. cocoa. Mix well, this makes 1 layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool layers before icing. Use 8 or 9 inch pans, grease and flour pans well.

ICING:

1 lg. can crushed pineapple with juice
2 c. coconut
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch

Cook until thick, cool before spreading on cake layers.
