3-4 cans garbanzo beans
1 clove garlic, cut fine
3 sausage links or chorizo
1 onion, cut fine
1 ham hock
4 large potatoes, diced
1 pkg. yellow rice flavoring
water as desired

Brown sausage. Place all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil then turn heat down and simmer 1-2 hours.
